Dr. James graduated from Queen’s University at Kingston in 1968 and trained in Plastic Surgery at McGill University from 1971 to 1976. He has been a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and has practiced in Ottawa for thirty one years. At the moment his Ottawa office practice is restricted to cosmetic surgery of the breast and body contouring procedures. He is currently on staff at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital, Carleton Place Memorial Hospital, Arnprior Hospital and Renfrew Victoria Hospital.

  Liposuction and body contouring surgery require extensive preoperative consultation so that the patient has a clear understanding of the outcome. Expectations are often unrealistic and each patient presents with a unique body shape and their own idea of what they would like to see changed. It is important that each patient knows what can and cannot be accomplished.

  Dr. James has used Ultrasonic and Standard Liposuction techniques for many years and has performed numerous mastopexy, abdominoplasty and other lipectomy (thigh,arm,back) procedures.
