Dr. Kevin O’Grady is a fully certified Plastic Surgeon by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and is a Staff Plastic Surgeon in Richmond Hill, Ontario. He completed his five years of Plastic Surgery training at McMaster University, followed by a year of Fellowship training in Craniofacial Surgery at Sunnybrook and Breast Reconstruction and Cosmetic Breast Surgery at Women’s College Hospital, both University of Toronto Teaching Hospitals. Prior to medical school at the University of Toronto, Dr. O’Grady earned a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toronto. He also holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Dr. O’Grady’s practice is a mixture of both Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Dr. O’Grady feels that this balance is an effective method for transferring knowledge and skills between two distinct disciplines within Plastic Surgery. Aesthetic patients benefit from lessons learned from reconstructive procedures in the same way that advances in cosmetic procedures lead to better reconstructive results.

Dr. O’Grady is a member of the Ontario, Canadian, and American Societies of Plastic Surgeons. He also belongs to the Canadian and Ontario Medical Associations. He has been invited to speak as a guest expert by Medicis Canada, the makers of Restylane, regarding facial anatomy and safety of cosmetic injectable fillers.

Dr. O’Grady is pleased to offer his cosmetic patients the absolute best in service in his new office, which features a fully-equipped, state-of-the-art operating room, patient recovery room and patient waiting room. Dr. O’Grady’s new operating room is equipped with general anaesthesia built to the same standards as hospital operating rooms. He is now able to offer patients procedures under local anaesthesia, light sedation as well as full general anaesthesia.

Having his own operating room means that Dr. O’Grady can offer better service, privacy and convenience to his clients. The new facility allows Dr. O’Grady to tailor surgical times to better suit patients’ schedules and eliminate a lot of the red tape that goes with booking surgery at a hospital. As well, Dr. O’Grady’s patients receive one-on-one nursing care, which can’t be matched in a hospital setting.

Board certified and fellowship trained, Dr. O’Grady performs minor procedures as well as numerous body contouring procedures such as Smartlipo safely in his office. Dr. O’Grady also maintains hospital privileges at all three York Region hospitals. He keeps up-to-date on the latest procedures and techniques although his overall approach tends to be conservative. Dr. O’Grady believes in researching new techniques to ensure they are viable and safe rather than rushing to be the first to offer a new procedure. He is committed to keeping his consultations a “no pressure zone”.
