Dr Taylor performs a variety of body contouring procedures including Abdominoplasty, Liposuction and post weight loss surgery to tighten, lift and contour sagging areas:

Abdominoplasty helps to flatten and shape the abdomen and waist by removing excess fat and skin and if required tightening muscles. The best candidates have small amounts of excess fat and loose skin that still remain after dieting and exercise. The procedure can also be useful for women with stretched skin and muscles from pregnancy.

Liposuction sculpts the body by removing undesirable fat that has not responded to diet and exercise from areas such as the abdomen, waist, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, chin, cheeks, neck and upper arms. Local anesthesia or general anesthesia may be used, and the procedure can last anywhere from one to several hours depending on the amount of fat being removed.

Post-bariatric plastic surgery combines reconstructive and cosmetic techniques to tighten, lift and contour sagging areas for a more attractive appearance. The patient may choose to treat the arms, breasts, abdomen, buttocks, thighs, lower body, neck, face or other areas. If several areas are to be treated this will often require overnight stays in hospital and more than one procedure.

Dr. Taylor has since been in practice in Victoria since 2001, with the designation as a Fellow in Plastic Surgery of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC). He is honored to be the Division Head of Plastic Surgery in Victoria, working with a dedicated group of seven plastic surgeons. The Division provides cosmetic and reconstructive surgery locally as well as more complex procedures to the rest of Vancouver Island.
