Dr. Weinberg is a renowned Royal College certified Plastic Surgeon. He has been Chief of Plastic Surgery since 2005 at one of the largest Hospitals in Ontario, Trillium Health Centre (formerly named Mississauga Hospital). He is also the founder of the Mississauga Cosmetic Surgery and Laser Clinic, a prestigious, CAAASF accredited surgical facility, and does all the surgery at the clinic unassisted by students or residents. He also sees patients at his office in downtown Toronto, conveniently located steps from Yorkville.
Dr. Weinberg is superbly skilled in performing body sculpting procedures with excellent aesthetic results in a broad range of locations including chin, neck, upper arms, abdomen, hips, thighs and knees. Compassionate and dedicated to helping his patients achieve their cosmetic goals, he is also passionate about safety. CAAASF approval means that his clinic has met similar safety standards as hospital operating rooms. Board certified anaesthetists and registered nurses, also on staff at Trillium Health Centre, work with Dr. Weinberg at Mississauga Cosmetic Surgery, so patients have the assurance of the utmost safety, while enjoying the charm, personal attention and caring of a private facility. While some body sculpting procedures are done under anaesthesia, in many cases patients can undergo tumescent liposuction, ie while awake, in complete comfort, resulting in even greater safety and an even quicker recovery, with patients returning to work the next day.
Dr. Weinberg is a member of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgery, the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the Ontario Society of Plastic Surgery, and is former President of that Society. He has been granted numerous prestigious awards and Scholarships and is widely published internationally with articles on research, basic science and clinical theory. He is also fluent in English, French and Dutch.
With his extensive experience in Cosmetic Plastic Surgery, Dr. Weinberg’s expertise is widely sought after by patients and colleagues alike. His opinions are often sought by the media, and he has been interviewed and quoted in the Star, and the Globe and Mail with appearances on CBC, Global Television, and CTV.
